Telescoping Aluminum Towers
for permanent & temporary use.
ALUMA TOWER COMPANY,
INC. has been manufacturing quality-built aluminum
towers for over 25 years. Aluma's
telescoping masts are used for communications,
military applications, surveillance, wireless
data transfer, monitoring and testing. The
antenna tower is ideal for transmitting, receiving,
or any application requiring rapid erection
of an antenna or instrumentation.
Towers are manufactured from 6063-T832 and
6061-T6 aluminum alloys.
The welding process, known as TIG (tungsten
inert gas welding), is used throughout.
The majority of the hardware is stainless
steel.
Telescoping towers are
complete with one of Aluma's unique tilting
bases. The bases include the H-hinge base
and the T-hinge base. Towers are installed
on a customer's concrete pad for use as
a permanent tower. For
temporary use, an optional base is available
for quick, temporary insertion in the ground.
Towers that are comprised
of two sections must have the lower section building
bracketed or guyed; upper section should be guyed
in high wind areas. Three and Four section towers
must have the lower section bracketed or guyed
and the upper sections guyed.

Standard
Items Included On Telescoping Aluminum Towers:
- Hinge
base for tilting application; a non-tilting
base can be substituted at no charge.
- Combo rotor plate with
fixed mast adaptor and fixed mast upper plate
are standard on all towers. Plastic
top bushing is available at no charge upon
request. Optional
thrust bearings are also available as an
additional accessory.
- Aluma
Tower's worm gear winch is standard on
all telescoping towers. Optional power
winches
are also available in both 12 VDC and 115VAC
configurations.

STANDARD

The Standard-Duty aluminum
crank-up towers are designed for small antennas
up to five square feet of antenna surface
area and 40lbs. of dead weight. These towers
are intended to be bracketed and/or guyed.
The uppermost section of these towers will
not accept internally mounted rotors. The standard
telescoping towers are complete with a 1-1/2
dia. X .125 wall x 5’ long mast, guy ears on
each section, heavy-duty building bracket and
tilt base. The Standard-Duty tower is ideal
to elevate lightweight antennas, sampling gear,
wind speed and direction equipment and any
other similar instrumentation. The tower easily
tilts to allow antenna work and the rapid collection
of samples.

The Heavy-Duty aluminum
crankup towers are designed to accommodate
antennas with large wind surface areas up
to 18sq.ft. and 125 lbs. of dead weight. These
models will accommodate a large variety of
commercially available rotors and a universal
rotor plate is welded in place. This will allow
a beam or other directional type antenna to
be oriented. Telescoping towers are complete
with a heavy duty 2” dia.
X .125 wall x 8 ft. long mast, guy ears on
each section, heavy-duty building bracket and
tilt base.

The Extra
Heavy-Duty aluminum crankup towers are designed
to accommodate antennas with very large wind
surface areas up to 23 sq.ft. of surface area
and 200lbs. of weight. This model will accommodate
a large variety of commercially available rotors.
Telescoping towers are complete with a heavy
duty 2" dia. x .250 wall x 8' ft. long mast,
guy ears on each section, heavy-duty building
bracket and tilt base.

The Extra, Extra
Heavy-Duty aluminum crankup towers are designed
to accommodate large, heavy-duty rotators
and pedestals. This model is designed
for heavier dead weights up to 300 lbs and
up to 25sq. ft. of antenna surface area. Telescoping
towers are complete with a heavy duty 2” x
.250 wall x 8’ long mast, guy ears on each
section, heavy duty building bracket and tilt
base.
