Telescopic Guyed Tower

Aluma lightweight, aluminum guyed telescopic antenna tower with wires in the sky with sunset

When lightweight antenna towers are needed for portability and rapid deployment Aluma guyed telescopic antenna towers are the answer for transmitting, receiving, and collecting data. Application-based solutions and customized packages have been the foundation of Aluma Tower Company’s business for 40 years. We offer specific solutions for communications, surveillance, wireless data transfer, two-way radio, cell phone, and many more unique applications.

Aluminum guyed towers are an efficient solution to meet your lightweight telescopic masts requirements. These towers require the installation of guy wires to allow usage in high wind conditions. The lower, outer section can be bracketed to a suitable structure rather than guyed, but all other sections require guying.

Tower options range from:

Standard Features Included with Our Telescoping Aluminum Towers

The standard-duty aluminum telescoping antenna tower is ideal to elevate lightweight telescopic masts, sampling gear, wind speed and directional equipment, and similar instrumentation. The tower easily tilts to allow antenna work and the rapid collection of samples.

These towers are designed for small antennas with up to 5 sq. ft (0.46452 m²) of antenna surface area and 50 lb (22 kg) of weight in winds up to 70 mph (112.65 kph). They are intended to be bracketed at 8 ft (2.4384 m) or guyed.  They feature 5 ft (1.5240 m) masts with 1½ inch (3.8100 cm) OD and 1/8 in (0.31750cm) wall, guy ears on each section, heavy-duty building brackets and tilt base. The uppermost section of these standard-duty towers will not accept internally mounted rotors.

Heavy Duty Guyed Towers

Heavy-duty aluminum telescoping antenna towers are designed to accommodate antennas with large wind surface areas of up to 18 sq. ft (1.6723 m²) and 125 lb (56 kg) of maximum payload capacity. They are tested accordingly for wind speeds up to 70 mph (112.65 kph).

These models are equipped with a universal rotor plate welded in place to accommodate a large variety of commercially available rotors (such as Yaesu 800-1000), enabling the orientation of a beam or other directional type antenna. These towers include a heavy-duty 8 ft (2.4384 m) mast 2 in (5.0800 cm) diameter and 1/8 in (0.31750 cm) wall, guy ears on each section, heavy-duty building bracket, and tilt base.  Note: The HN modification is required for full tower retraction when using a nested rotor.
